About us

Meet Emily, the founder of Shop Seluna.

I built this brand because I wanted to create something visual that represented who I was. Seluna is something incredibly personal to me, and helps me transform my ideas in to the physical. To this day, it helps me propel myself into all of the versions of me that I've always to be. (omg why am i crying)

I started making my own jewelry by buying random charms and hooking them onto my hoops that I already had. I learned how to link pieces, cut chains, curate charms, and put them all together in order to fulfill this creative and personal hole I was in. At the time, I quit my corporate job, enrolled in community college, and worked a minimum wage part time job to afford living in the expensive city of San Francisco. I learned a lot about myself during this time.

Also freshly diagnosed with ADHD, I needed something to occupy the nervous energy I always held in my body. I started buying sets of spinner and fidget rings and I found that it really helped keep my body occupied so I could focus on other things.

I found that other people really liked them too, and were also looking for a minor distraction as the world started to burn around us. I wanted to make something high quality, affordable, and versatile. I wanted metals that didn't tarnish after I would wash my hands, and I was sick of my rings not fitting the way I wanted. My staple pieces fixed all of those problems. The rest was for funsies and aesthetics.

This is just the beginning for Seluna. And I can't wait to see how far she will go. 🌙
